These guidelines have been established to empower agents to successfully attract credible ethical and productive real estate agents who are aligned with eXp Global’s culture and core values, while simultaneously protecting their own business.

The Agent Attraction Success Strategy is incorporated in the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and eXp Global’s (and the U.S.) Policies and Procedures. It is the responsibility of each Agent to read, understand, adhere to, and ensure that he/she is aware of, and operating under, the most current version of the ICA, the Policies and Procedures, and this Agent Attraction Success Strategy. By signing the ICA, Agents agree to abide by all of eXp’s Policies and Procedures, including the guidelines outlined here.

Agent Attraction Best Practices

eXp agents must adhere to these standards in their attraction activities. These guidelines are based on eXp Realty’s core values and will guide you forward toward successful attraction and sponsorship pursuits.

Professionalism

Strive to become a more successful real estate agent. Nothing attracts like success and the more success you have as an eXp Realty agent selling real estate, the greater the likelihood you will have success attracting high quality agents.

Abide by the National Association of REALTORS ® Code of Ethics. We are all part of something bigger than ourselves; the Code of Ethics is in place to ensure that our consumers, colleagues, and agent prospects are treated fairly and professionally.

Always represent eXp Realty and its business model with the highest degree of accuracy, integrity and professionalism. Adhere to our core values of “Integrity” and “Transparency” by being truthful as you present the opportunity to prospective agents, accurately describe the benefits of joining eXp Realty, and avoid commitments that you won’t be able to fulfill as the sponsor of your new agents.

Enthusiastically engage in agent attraction activities that strengthen and support both your own and eXp Realty’s brand and reputation. Building relationships through one-on-one conversations, hosting meetings, and using eXp-approved marketing content to share the opportunity are fantastic ways to demonstrate your professionalism and attract new agents.

Follow the “golden rule” by treating others the way you want them to treat you. Always keep in mind eXp’s core value of “Collaboration” by remembering that we are all on the same playing field and that all agents have the same opportunity for growth and success. Treat other agents fairly and conduct yourself with the highest degree of professionalism in your attraction activities.

Agent Attraction Success Strategy Recruitment And Sponsorship

Encourage prospective eXp Realty agents to identify their sponsor as the eXp Realty agent who most influenced them to join the company. The sponsor may not necessarily be the first person they spoke with about eXp Realty. Remember that the sponsor, team leader, or mentor isn’t always the same person and that each role is distinct. As you discuss the eXp opportunity with a new prospective agent, you should always ask them if they have been speaking with anyone else about the eXp opportunity before continuing with your attraction efforts. If they are already actively engaged in the attraction process with another agent, encourage them to continue that discussion with the eXp agent that they have been working with. Seek to attract serious and productive professionals who fit culturally with the company and its core values. During your attraction activities, seek opportunities to share eXp Realty’s core values with prospective agents and discuss how they are implemented into the daily work in our community. Commit to providing support and assistance to the professionals who you sponsor into the eXp community throughout the course of their career with eXp Realty. Your role as a sponsor is vital to the success of your team members and a key component to the thriving culture and community that we have all created.

Advertising And Communication

Bear in mind eXp’s core values of “Transparency” and “Integrity” as you communicate the eXp opportunity to others. Avoid all discourteous, deceptive, misleading, illegal, or unethical conduct and practices in your marketing and promotion of eXp’s opportunity.

eXp Realty has created a vast library of marketing materials and tools that are available for you to use as you attract new agents. All eXp-branded sales, promotional, and marketing materials are pre-approved and should be used throughout the course of the agent attraction process. Many of these tools allow customization that enable you to add an individualized flavor to your advertising and communication.

If you choose to create customized content as part of your agent attraction campaign, you must submit agent-created content to your state/provincial broker and to the Agent Compliance team for approval prior to use. If you have any doubt about the content you have created, reach out to the Agent Compliance department whose officers will be happy to help you resolve your concerns in a quick and decisive manner.

Agents are permitted to create and execute their own organic (social media content posted without paid or boosted promotion) social media campaigns for the purpose of agent attraction. eXp agents must abide by the terms of service of any social network, online advertising platform, or other communication channel where attraction efforts are taking place.

Agent attractors are encouraged to create web content posted to approved websites, blogs, and other online communities that strengthen their ability to attract prospective agents. All content related to agent attraction must adhere to the guidelines set forth in the ICA and eXp’s

Community

Members of the eXp Realty community should strive to support and encourage fellow agents in their attraction efforts. Among our core values are the concepts of “Community” and “Collaboration.” Remember, we are all on the same team and we should endeavor to cooperate with each other instead of competing with or taking from other eXp agents.

Speak well of eXp Realty, fellow agents, brokers, and eXp staff. Promoting positivity will strengthen your own mindset and improve your ability to create lasting relationships that are the very foundation of successful agent attraction. Avoid gossiping, spreading rumors, and speaking negatively about others as this simply reflects on your own character and will weaken your ability to attract new agents.

Set an example for your fellow eXp agents and your prospective agents by actively contributing to and being an engaged member of the eXp Realty community. Encourage the same community-building traits from agents you sponsor and collaborate with.

Agent Attraction Prohibited Practices

Agents are prohibited from engaging in the following practices while carrying out their attraction activities. These practices run contrary to eXp’s core values and only serve to harm eXp’s brands, its community, and its sustainability. If an Agent is found participating in the practices below, eXp Global leadership may, at any time, make the determination that removal or severance from eXp is in the best interest of the company and its Agents.

Professionalism

Agents are not allowed to falsify, or encourage a prospective Agent to falsify, information submitted to eXp.

Making or posting income claims, including any income claims pertaining to revenue sharing and/or posting copies of revenue share checks on social media except as specifically outlined in official eXp literature, is not allowed.

Agent Attraction Success Strategy Recruitment And Sponsorship

Agents are prohibited from encouraging prospective Agents to change sponsorship or change their intended sponsorship declaration. It is the responsibility of each Agent to discover if a prospective Agent is already in conversation with another eXp Agent about joining and should refer them back to their first contact as a professional courtesy.

Inappropriate incentives should never be used to entice or persuade an Agent to change their intended sponsorship declaration. This includes offering enticements that are in addition to and outside of the benefits of the eXp business models such as the promise of cash, cash equivalents, gifts, office space, additional revenue, leads or the payment of monthly technology or registration costs with eXp.

Compensating individuals, either directly or through affiliation, who are not Agents or brokers affiliated with eXp to recruit or attract Agents to eXp is not allowed.

When an Agent makes the decision 5 to join, based on the efforts and relationship of an eXp Agent – there should be ZERO interference by other eXp Agents from that time forward. Any efforts to coerce or otherwise unethically convince a prospective Agent to change their selected sponsor will be subject to corrective action up to and including severance from eXp.

The use of recruitment companies or other similar third-party services, to send SMS text messages, emails, place phone calls, etc. is not allowed in the Agent attraction process. Real estate Agents who agree to the ICA with eXp are the only individuals authorized to present the eXp opportunity to prospective Agents.

Advertising And Communication

All activities related to Agent attraction that violate any law, rule or regulation on a national or local level are prohibited. Agents are not permitted to create and execute their own paid advertising campaigns through social media, search engines or display ad networks for the purpose of Agent attraction. Mass communication for the purpose of Agent attraction through email, telephone, SMS text message, or other channels is not allowed. Individual prospecting through “cold calls” and other similar practices are subject to the respective national or local rules. Utilizing virtual assistants to recruit or present the eXp opportunity is prohibited. eXp Agents may work with virtual assistants to make calls to lists that are respective country compliant in order to make appointments for the Agent to present the eXp opportunity. Virtual assistants must clearly identify who they are representing, provide optout instructions and present a viable contact number. Agents are prohibited from sending bulk, mass, or unsolicited email or text communications within the eXp email exchange or through outside channels. This includes the use of third-party services and social media messenger services, which may generate a negative perception of eXp. Agents must make clear in any communication that the communication is coming from the agent and not eXp as a company. Agents are prohibited from representing their material or efforts as originating from eXp.

Community

Disparaging or speaking negatively about eXp, eXp Agents and Brokers and/or eXp staff, employees and/ or leadership is prohibited. Further, disparaging or speaking negatively about competing companies or any other Agent outside of eXp is also prohibited.

Agents may not use, in any professional profiles, whether online or otherwise, titles which would reasonably lead someone to believe that they are an employee of eXp or representing themselves as an employee of eXp.

Use of the letters eXp in a domain name, YouTube channel name, Facebook page, Twitter handle or profile identification on other social media platforms is prohibited. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by the eXp Global.
