Operational and Licensing

Q: Is eXp Global part of eXp Realty?

A: eXp Global is operated under eXp Realty which is an entity owned by eXp World Holdings. eXp operates in each country individually.

Q: Who are the Designated Managing Brokers?

A: Each country has a country lead whose title may vary based on market preference/language.

Q: How does Agent Licensing work?

A: Agent Licensing is based on the country laws the business is operating in.

Agent Joining and Recruiting

Q: Are there any Talent Attraction Guidelines to follow?

Q: How do agents join eXp?

A: Each Country has its own JoinApp link. Agents will need to go to the country website and click on Join to be brought to the page with the join link for that country.

Q: How can I get an Independent Contractor Agreement?

A: Each agreement is done at a country level and in the local language where applicable. The agreements can be obtained during the joining process.

Q: What are eXp’s Policies and Procedures?

A: Each P&P is done at a country level and can be obtained throughout the joining process via the links mentioned above.

Q: Can agents join in Teams?

A: Yes, they can. We have two structures for teams. Please contact the in-country leader for more information.

Financial Items

Q: How can I get more information about eXp’s Business Model, ICON Qualifications, and Stock Awards?

A: Each country has a different business model, ICON Qualifications, and Stock Awards competitive in their market, please refer to the individual marketing presentations on the Join Page of each website.

Q: Are Sponsorship and Revenue Share applicable outside my country?

A: Cross border revenue share will be launched early 2021. Agents can sponsor in-country currently.

Agent Tools, Systems and Support

Q: How does eXp World work?

A: Each Country will operate in eXp World which is shared with eXp Realty and other affiliated partners. Please visit the country located in the Go To menu – Global Operations for more information.

Q: Is Workplace available for all eXp agents?

A: eXp Global will operate within the existing Workplace platform shared with eXp Realty. Each country will have an Announcements Group and a Referral Group open to all eXp workplace users.

Q: How should eXp agents use company logos?

A: There is an eXp Global logo and an individual logo for each country. Please contact the marketing department if you would like access to use any of the logos and for information on the approved uses.

Q: Do eXp agents get an email address?

A: eXp Global agents will receive an email forward specific to their country: first.last@COUNTRYURL (country URLs listed above in websites)

Q: What tools do agents have for listings and leads management?

A: eXp Global agents will have access to a CRM, Marketing, Leads and Listing tool based on their location. (AUS and UK have their own, remaining countries have REP)

Q: What is Agent Attraction?

A: Each country has its own agent slide deck presentation located on the join us page.

Q: Where can agents find supporting materials and information?

A: Each country has its own agent hub where agents can find information, marketing, contracts, support information, training and more.

Q: How do agents get Tech Support?

A: eXp Realty IT department is able to assist Global agents the same way they do residential agents.

Q: What are the office hours?

A: Each country has office hours based on their time zone. Please visit the Main Office in eXp World – Global Operations.

Q: Can an existing agent in eXp Realty move to a new country?

A: During the first phase we are not able to move an agent in Realty to a new country.

Q: What training is available for eXp agents?

A: Agents in our countries have multiple options for training, including access to the training in eXp World that relates to their business plus on average 20 hours of training occurs each week in the country offices also located in eXp World.

Q: What is eXp Realty?

A: eXp Realty is a global real estate agency.

Q: What does eXp Realty offer?

A: Offers a unique proposal and commission for agents, as well as a share of the profit and shares. A financial advantage thanks to our virtual offices instead of traditional agency fees. There are no more geographical limits.

Q: Where is eXp Realty?

A: eXp Realty is present worldwide and more precisely in Canada, Mexico City, United States, Puerto Rico, England, France, Portugal, India, South Africa, Australia and continues its development in Brazil, Italy, Hong Kong.

Q: When did eXp start?

A: eXp Realty was launched in 2009 by Glenn Sanford.

Q: What is a Cloud Campus?

A: A cloud campus is a virtual space, called ‘The World’. The World is a collaborative space so that all agents can meet, train, exchange and also have fun.

Q: Who is the managing broker at eXp Realty?

A: The managing broker at eXp Realty is Jason Gesing.

Q: Who is the managing broker at eXp South Africa?

A: The managing broker at eXp South Africa is Andrew Thompson.

South Africa FAQ’s: Commission Splits and Fees

Q: What is the split at eXp?

A: Optimized commission sharing for the agent with 75 for the agent and 25 for eXp.

Q: Is there a fee to join eXp?

A: Yes. For the sale of your goods, you will be able to access the latest technology with optimized efficiency. Join fee is R800.

Q: Is there a Cloud fee?

A: Yes. Monthly contribution of R800.

Q: Is there a commission cap?

A: Yes. The cap per agent is R150,000.00 of turnover per year for commission sharing. 100% commissions for the agent and 0% for eXp.

Q: Do you have to pay multiple fees if you are licensed in several states?

A: No.

Q: How much are the royalty or franchise fees?

A: We are not a franchise. So there are no royalty or franchise fees.

South Africa FAQ’s: Revenue Share

Q: What is Revenue Sharing?

A: The agents you bring into the company are encouraged to make sales, recruit and attract agents into the company who will also generate sales with the same revenue sharing system. In addition to your income from generating sales from the agents you sponsor at eXp, you can also earn revenue sharing commissions for the agents they sponsor!

As an example: If you personally sponsor 5 agents within eXp who meet the sales requirements and they in turn sponsor their own agents, who do the same, you can earn up to R3200 per year for the production of each of these other agents, in addition to the R2800 you earn from the agents you have sponsored yourself.

Q: How much revenue share can agents earn per each recruited agent? 1

Q: Do I have to recruit agents?

A: There is no obligation to recruit agents but it is possible.

Q: How is eXp revenue share calculated? 2

A: It is calculated based off of 3.5% of the gross commission. eXp consultants can receive
income from the business activity of the consultants they sponsor within the company. For each
person you sponsor in eXp, you can earn up to R2800 depending on the production of this agent.
This amount continues to be paid to you as long as you remain an active agent and the agent
you sponsored stays in eXp and generates sales. The revenue share is paid from the percentage
received by eXp and does not reduce the agent’s commission.

Q: Is training available?

A: Every week, we carry out different training courses such as the Fast Start 101 courses which allow you to start with confidence. The integration and improvement training is only oriented on your job. Thus you will be able to learn or rediscover the basics of your job.

Q: Where can I find these trainings?

South Africa FAQ’s: Licensing

Q: Is a License required by an individual agent to register in eXp South Africa?

A: Obtaining the certificate of authorization is necessary because this document constitutes your authorization to exercise your profession as a real estate sales agent within eXp South Africa and will allow you to prove your quality and the extent of your powers.

Q: How will you support in terms of Licensing?

A: Obtaining the certificate of authorization is done by the specialist of integrations
within country.

South Africa FAQ’s: Additional Miscellaneous Questions

Q: Why should I recruit others to be an eXp agent?

A: All agents receive many financial benefits by contributing to the growth of the agency
(revenue sharing and stock distribution program); Pervasive back-office and training support
help agents evolve and grow more efficiently; Minimum capital required to expand geographically; eXp agents can expand their activities to different markets much more easily.

Q: What equipment is needed to practice?

A: In order to be a sales agent at eXp, you will need at least a computer and a cell phone.

Q: Does eXp provide the necessary equipment?

A: No, eXp South Africa does not.

Q: Which tools do I need to download?

A: The tools to download are the applications provided by the company, i.e. the world, Okta which allows you to access the workplace, the CRM (REP) and the invitation manager (Guest management).

Q: Can I work in another eXp subsidiary?

A: No. At this moment, you can only work in one country of choosing – those of which you obtain a license in.

Q: How can I recruit other agents?
